Open source software is, software that users can run, copy, modifiable, share and improve for as your required .Library Staffs should be awareness about the open source software and should engaging in their Marketing library Service. They should have knowledge of the selection of library software , installation and some technical knowledge use of open source software for enhancing library services. The paper details about the various open source software like Koha, D-Space, E-Print GreenStone, JoomlaWordspress used for digital asset Management and enhancing library services in Biju Patnaik Central Library (BPCL) of NIT, Rourkela . It also describes comparative features of technical related issues faced in use of open source software for digital resources Management.
