Citation Analysis is chosen for the present study. There are52609were collected from 194 PhD theses submitted to the Department of Chemistry, Bangalore University,Bangaloreduringthe period from (1972- 2014). The citations were analyzed according to following objectives of the study such as:year wise submission of theses for the award of PhD degree, average citationsand distribution citations per theses, types of documents cited by researchers and rank list of most cited journals.
