This paper describes the acquisition, use and adequacy of library collection of management college libraries in Bangalore city. Collection development plays a pivotal role in development of a library. The collection development is a collective exercise and different bodies and individual are involved in this task. For instance, the main role player is the institution management which provides necessary finance for the purchase of reading materials for the library and even though it is its prime role, it has to consider providing adequate finances on the bases of several factors like, user needs, courses offered and curriculum introduction of new courses.
