A citation analysis of research publications of University of Mysore covered by Web of Science was performed as a way of determining the information sources cited by the scholars in the field of physics. In the present study, 312 research publications of Physics were chosen as a sample from the year January 2009 to December 2018. There were 8733 citations in 312 research publications.Aim of this study wasto examine the different citation parameters like forms of literature, country wise scattering of literature and authorship pattern. Further, study also attempted to present the ranked list of top 25 cited journals and prolific authors in the field of physics.
